Thursday 7th March , we celebrated our first interfaith Pause Day. Some of our wonderful parents from our school community gave up their time to share knowledge about their faith and how they prepare for Eid al-Fitr during the month of Ramadan. The wife of the Bracknell Iman joined us and every year group had the opportunity to spend some time with our guests and gain a deeper understanding of these celebration.
The parents and staff organised a table with different artefacts for the children to explore and to ask questions about, a table where they were able to write their name in Arabic writing, a table with a game exploring diversity in Islam and lots of fun crafts (and glitter!).
We would like to thank all the parents that kindly gave so much of their time and effort to provide a whole day of enjoyment and learning for our children.
We hope that in the future these initiatives continue as it is wonderful to see the support of our community.
