Nursery Hours
Nursery Morning Session:
8.45am to 11.45am
Nursery Afternoon Session:
12.45pm to 2:45
Additional session 2:45 - 3.15pm
All school gates are unlocked from 8.40am - parents remain responsible for the supervision of their child / children until they enter the classroom - please do not leave your child unsupervised. Gates are locked at 9am and remain so until 3.05pm.
At 3:10 - 3:15 there is a soft collection
This allows parents and carers to gather gradually, reduces congestion around classroom exits, and enables children to be dismissed in a safe and orderly manner.
The soft collection period also allows for a more natural and effective handover between staff and parents. As soon as class teachers are ready to open their doors within this collection window, they can begin dismissing children and speaking with parents where needed, rather than having a large number of families arriving and leaving simultaneously at 3:15pm.
For this reason, some children may leave with their parent or carer between 3:10pm and 3:15pm. Any children who have not yet been collected remain fully supervised by staff throughout this period.
Punctuality is important, as late arrival will mean that the start of the lessons will be missed, which can also detract from the learning of other children. Where children are unavoidably late and arrive at school after 9.00am, they should go to the school office to ensure that they are registered.
Staff are happy to take quick messages from you in the morning, but at this time they must be available to greet children and start lessons promptly; if you need to have a more detailed conversation, then please arrange to meet your child's teacher after school - appointments can be made via the school office with teachers.
Please let us know of anything which may be affecting your child as soon as possible.
