OPAL Exciting Playground Improvements Coming Next Week!

Posted on Posted in Key Reminder, Latest News, News
We are delighted to share that work will begin next week on two exciting additions to our outdoor spaces — a brand new reading gazebo and an enhanced climbing area for the children to enjoy.
The project will begin with the installation of our reading gazebo on the grass area outside Year 4. This will be a lovely new space to support reading and outdoor learning. During this time, you will notice fencing and barriers in place. Please help us by reminding children, especially younger siblings during drop off, to stay well away from these fenced areas to ensure everyone stays safe.
Once the reading gazebo is complete, work will move on to installing our new climbing frame. To allow this to happen safely and efficiently, the MUGA and the space next to the outdoor gym equipment will be temporarily closed. The full project is expected to take approximately 7 days to complete.
Throughout the installation period:
  • The work zones will be clearly fenced off
  • You may see builders’ vans within these fenced areas
  • Certain parts of the playground will be inaccessible while work is underway
These precautions will help the team to complete the build as quickly and safely as possible, ready for the children to enjoy their fantastic new climbing space.
We would like to say a huge thank you to our amazing PTA and parent community to make these projects happen. Over the past few years, your fundraising efforts — whether through events, donations or even buying an ice lolly — have made a significant contribution towards this project. It is wonderful to see that support coming to life in such a fun and meaningful way for the children.
We can’t wait to share the finished spaces with you soon!
