Sports update Jan 24

This half-term our Year 6 athletes represented the school at the Bracknell Forest indoor athletics competition.
Our team of 6 boys and 6 girls had to compete in a throwing event (Chest Push, Javelin or Speed Bounce), one jumping event (Triple Jump, Long Jump or High Jump) and then at least one relay race. The team represented us all incredibly and we finished 3rd in our first competition. This brilliant performance meant that we qualified for the finals that were held on another day. The standard of the final was much higher but we all still tried our best.
We managed a respectable 10th placing out of all 28 Bracknell Forest Primary schools.
Thank you to all the teachers (Mr Page and Miss Woodbridge) for taking us and organizing the event (Miss Knowles and the amazing office team). Also, thank you to the group of parents who lost their voices screaming support for us and finally thank you to the team for all your support and encouragement for each other.
The Year 6 Team
