‘Show Racism the Red Card’ Friday 16th October

Posted on Posted in Uncategorized

On Friday 16th October the children and staff took part in wearing red to ‘Show Racism the Red Card’. Children took time in their classes to have a circle time and reflect and gain a better understanding on what racism is as well as the importance of standing up for others.

Across KS1 the children created their own red cards including ideas of how we treat others fairly and encourage others to do the same.

In KS2 the children had deeper conversations about how it is also everyones responsibility to stand up to racism and not just walk away and not act. The children also created posters to promote ‘Show Racism the Red card’.
