Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly thank you for all the wellwishers. It has been hot but not overwhelming today.
Following the escalation to a Red Weather Alert, I am writing to confirm a slight addition to our arrangements to keep all safe.
The only change from this morning’s communication https://www.jennetts.bonitas.org.uk/sports-day-postponed-and-optional-early-pick-up-tues-weds-thursday/ is that after-school provision will not run Tuesday / Weds and Thursday . This includes both Owlets and Night Owls. A refund will be issued for any booked sessions.
All other arrangements remain as previously outlined. However, we are now strongly urging families to collect their children earlier, between 12:45pm and 1:05pm, where possible. This will help us to significantly reduce the number of children on site and support everyone’s safety during the severe weather conditions.
Please note:
- No child will be permitted to walk home alone regardless of previous permission given for end of day. They must be collected.
- This is a legal requirement in the case of a school closure, rather than a standard end-of-day arrangement.
We appreciate that this may cause inconvenience, but these measures are in place to ensure the safety of all children.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation, and also for the many kind messages of support we have received today—they are greatly appreciated.
